Its Corona time

It has been a long week. I lie. It has been a long 4 week lockdown, on the heels of what has been a Loooooong year.

Crikey… its nearly been a year! God bless the makers of Gin and Tonic.

My current parenting status is as follows:

Exhibit A is teaching himself guitar (thanks youtube) whilst simultaneously yelling at me that the current division of labor with me and hubby“sneaking off” to work, while he has to home school this mob is not sustain

able. He may have a point.

Exhibit B has been quoted as telling his best mate,

‘I am so bored, I have even started doing my homework” while watching soccer re-runs dating back to before television.

Exhibit C, has been trying to buy ADHD fidget products from amazon and Ali express and sell them for a profit.

Exhibit D is currently in a handstand position. She appears to be upside down more often than the right way up. She also appears to say ‘mom look’ on repeat. And then appears to be gutted if mom fails to look at handstand #33,987,652

Exhibit E is 5, he has been walking around the house for dayzzzz singing “I just want to be TIKTOK famous”

Husband bought his first pair of online shoes. In true Israeli style they took 2.5 months to arrive. They would be acceptable if he was a Rabbi and 83 years old.

Can one throw a husbands shoes away if they are fashionably unacceptable? Asking for a friend.

I, parent of the year was discussing “healthy eating” with my teenage sons. I made the mistake of telling them that the shape of fruit often matches the parts of the body that they help support. For example carrots are the shape of eyes, celery for bones, tomatoes for hearts.

I now see that someone has written “25 bananas” on my shopping list!!

But I did manage as a post lockdown celebration to take children who were not embarrassed to appear in public with me to the beach. 3 out of 5 ain’t bad.

I think as family we did really well in lockdown number 531987.
